The Client

Crane BS&U has a range of leading brands that service international building services, water and gas markets. The company designs and manufactures a range of pipe fittings, valves, manifold systems, regulators, pipe connections, repair and flow control products.

The Brief

In 2009 Infotex was tasked to consolidate multiple websites under a single management and support service agreement, building the foundation for a multi-year plan on revising the group’s online presence to provide better content management systems for staff, together with coordinated performance management and measurement.

The Result

The initial challenge was to locate and re-host 14 existing websites, and to establish a strategic plan for their ongoing development, maintenance and support. With the work now complete, Crane BS&U staff have direct control over all websites, and are able to measure website effectiveness across the whole group via monthly reports. This allows for informed decisions regarding where to direct future investment in web development and online marketing.

Infotex redeveloped the Viking Johnson website, showcasing a large range of couplings, adaptors pipe repair and flow control products for the water market. Statistics since the launch show a large increase in visitors, visitor duration and product information downloads. The site has received further development with the addition of a Spanish translation, centrally managed from a single administration area.

In 2016 we launched Crane's first ecommerce site - NABIC Valves - providing safety and pressure relief valves direct to consumers. The site clearly presents the important technical documentation, such as fitting instructions, discharge capabilities and sizes.
