The Client

Stokes Sauces is a home-grown Suffolk business specialising in producing first class Sauces using real, fresh ingredients for real food flavours. Stokes Sauces currently produces 75 different lines, all of which are hand-produced in their Suffolk based “Saucery” and carefully crafted from closely guarded recipes.

With over 20 years experience and a real passion for quality ingredients Stokes Sauces has grown from a small group of friends to a thriving team of 40. Stokes Sauces can now be found in some of the county’s finest farm shops, delicatessens, independent food stores and supermarkets as well as restaurants, hotels and catering businesses.

The Brief

Following a recent re-brand and new packaging the website required an overhaul to synchronise the on and offline brand and tone of voice.  Steve Curzon, Stokes’s Marketing Consultant, briefed the project into Infotex and worked closely with them throughout the delivery.

The website needed to be able to reflect Stokes’ “food made simple” strapline with a clear and easy to navigate site, utilising the latest set of food and location photography.

Stokes’ wanted to be able to manage the content throughout the site, to keep it up to date with new products, latest news, events and recipes.

The Results

Infotex carried out an Insight Analysis Report on the previous Stokes’ website to review its online position amongst its competitors.  The visuals for the site were then underpinned by the findings of this report.  This meant that we could meet the objectives set by Stokes in the most informed manner.

The result is a website that is visually clear and easy to navigate, but with a nod to the fun side of Stokes.  It will grow with the company and provide them with a user-friendly, stable platform on which to carry out their online business.

And the proof of the pudding is definitely in the eating as the average order value has already increased since launch and online sales nearly doubled for Christmas 2013 compared to those of 2012.
