The Challenge
Significantly enhance the website's appearance, usability and content presentation.
Work within the existing branding and retain the existing core ecommerce software platform. Increase real and relevant traffic to the websites and drive more sales.
The Process
We implemented a revised ecommerce platform which integrated with SagePay for seamless order management. The Irish website, taking orders in Euros, was launched shortly after the redesign of the UK website and integrates tightly with the UK website for management and reporting purposes.
The websites have an administration system with reporting for various departments to enable Micro Scooters to run their online operation smoothly.
The websites allow Micro Scooters to select which products to cross-sell instantly, upload videos, keep the press area and competitions up to date, sell gift vouchers, set up and run promotions, customers can submit reviews for publishing. Micro Scooters can write, send and report on branded newsletters. During the day there is the ability for staff to place orders directly through the admin area, manage back orders, edit existing orders and stock as well as manage their warehouse picking and packing.
Over the years there are ongoing projects to bring the client’s ideas to life making the website a friendly, interesting and constantly up-to-date experience for the visitor as well as making the work flow of Micro Scooters staff easier and more efficient. We have an ongoing programme and a phased website development strategy that will give Micro Scooters an ever greater presence online.
The Result
Over the last three years, traffic and sales have doubled year-on-year.
They now have an online presence in the UK, Ireland and the Netherlands.
